Biography: Rick's mediation practice emphasizes helping parents and their children deal rationally with such emotionally charged “aging” issues as living arrangements, finances, medical treatment, long-term care and end-of-life decisions, thereby avoiding arguments and costly litigation that can tear families apart. Rick has a BA from Yale, JD from the University of Texas, LLM in International Law from Georgetown University and MBA in finance from the University of Houston. He possesses a real estate license and is well-versed in oil and gas issues. A fifth generation Texan whose great-great-grandfather fought in the Texas Revolution, Rick is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and also has the honor of being a Kentucky Colonel. He was one of the original batboys for the Houston Colt .45s, the first major league baseball team in Houston, which was renamed the Houston Astros in 1965.

Biography: Adil Gokturk is an entrepreneur, business consultant and mediator. He began his consulting career in his native Istanbul, Turkey where for over twenty years he owned, managed and consulted for many clubs restaurants and event venues including Solar Beach Bikkinisland and Green Iguana. After moving to the United States in 2008 Adil decided to pursue his formal education. He earned his BA in International Studies at the University of St. Thomas. He is a graduate of Dr. Barbara Manousso's University of St. Thomas Global Conflict Resolution class where he received his certificate in basic mediation in 2012. He also holds a certificate in arbitration from Manousso Mediation & Arbitration LLC. He has participated in study abroad programs in Ireland and Israel focusing on Global Conflict and Peace. In May 2017, Adil received his MBA degree with a concentration in finance from the Cameron Business School at University of St Thomas. Adil is currently working on another graduate program, Master of Science in Applied Data Science at the Syracuse University, NY.

Biography: Dr. Barbara Sunderland Manousso, CEO of Manousso Mediation and Arbitration, LLC, since 1993, is an international ADR trainer, author, ombudsman, conflict coach, and leader in the international practice of mediation and arbitration. Dr. Manousso is also a professor at the University of St.Thomas in Global Conflict Management. In addition, she is the Chair of the Education Research Training Section of the Association of Conflict Resolution International, president of the Houston Gerontological Society, and member of the UT Consortium on Aging. She is the past-president of the Association of Conflict Resolution Houston chapter and current board member. She has also served as the Chair of the ACR International Healthcare Section and International Conference Committee and has served as co-chair of the ACR Workplace section and on the ACR Training Standards Committee for Elder Care Mediation. Dr. Manousso is a Texas Credentialed Distinguished Mediator, member of the Texas Mediators Round Table State Bar of Texas ADR Section, American Bar Association, and other professional groups. Her training programs in basic advance elder mediation and arbitration, as well as Parenting Coordination and Facilitation training, drawing students from around the world. She holds a baccalaureate from Brown University, Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, and Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She attended South Texas College of Law. In 2008 Dr. Manousso was appointed by Texas Governor Perry to serve as Commissioner on the Nursing Facility Administrators Advisory Committee with oversight of Texas's nursing home administrators.
