Biography: I have a family law mediation practice. I have taken courses in family law mediation, elder law mediation, CPS mediation, domestic violence issues and parenting coordination. I currently hold the designation of TMCA Distinguished Credentialed Mediator. I am currently on the boards of Association of Conflict Resolution - Houston Chapter and Texas Association of Mediators (TAM). I belong to many other ADR and attorney associations. Biography: Rick's mediation practice emphasizes helping parents and their children deal rationally with such emotionally charged “aging” issues as living arrangements, finances, medical treatment, long-term care and end-of-life decisions, thereby avoiding arguments and costly litigation that can tear families apart. Rick has a BA from Yale, JD from the University of Texas, LLM in International Law from Georgetown University and MBA in finance from the University of Houston. He possesses a real estate license and is well-versed in oil and gas issues. A fifth generation Texan whose great-great-grandfather fought in the Texas Revolution, Rick is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and also has the honor of being a Kentucky Colonel. He was one of the original batboys for the Houston Colt .45s, the first major league baseball team in Houston, which was renamed the Houston Astros in 1965. Rick is the current President of Alternative Conflict Resolution - Houston Chapter.

Biography: Dr. Barbara Sunderland Manousso, CEO of Manousso Mediation and Arbitration, LLC, since 1993, is an international ADR trainer, author, ombudsman, conflict coach, and leader in the international practice of mediation and arbitration. Dr. Manousso is also a professor at the University of St.Thomas in Global Conflict Management. In addition, she is the Chair of the Education Research Training Section of the Association of Conflict Resolution International, president of the Houston Gerontological Society, and member of the UT Consortium on Aging. She is the past-president of the Association of Conflict Resolution Houston chapter and current board member. She has also served as the Chair of the ACR International Healthcare Section and International Conference Committee and has served as co-chair of the ACR Workplace section and on the ACR Training Standards Committee for Elder Care Mediation. She is a certified conflict coach through the Certified Conflict Dynamic Profile. In 2010, she was recognized as one of Houston's 50 Most Influential Women by Houston Woman's Magazine. Dr. Manousso is a Texas Credentialed Distinguished Mediator, member of the Texas Mediators Round Table State Bar of Texas ADR Section, American Bar Association, and other professional groups.
