A professional organization dedicated to the practice and public understanding of conflict resolution.
The Association for Conflict Resolution - Houston (ACR Houston) is a 501.c.3 organization dedicated to promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and conflict management, supporting and developing ADR professionals, and educating our community about the many uses and benefits of ADR.
"The 2019 Charlsie Moore ADR Scholarship was awarded to Jodee Rankin and John Casper who received the highest grades in their Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic at Texas Tech University. The Ben DeVries Achievement in ADR Scholarship was awarded to Samin Agha, who was a member of the winning team at the 2018 Tom Newhouse Mediation Competition. “We are pleased to sponsor the Ben DeVries and Charlsie Moore Scholarships because this allows us to support and assist students who are very involved in conflict resolution training programs and also honor Charlsie Moore and Ben DeVries who have contributed so much time and talent at the DRC-MC,” stated Elaine Roberts, DRC-MC Executive Director. Scholarship Recipients Raise the Bar in Montgomery County
"The Woodlands Bar Association (WBA) proudly announces three 2019 scholarship recipients who are raising the bar here in Montgomery County. Three local high school seniors, Pearlyn Ang, Allison Dennis, and Maverick Noack, recently received WBA Future Lawyers Scholarships for $3,000 in honor of former WBA board members, Kevin T. Shea, Ida G. Stewart and Patricia G. Chapman. “The 2019 Future Lawyer Scholarship winners were selected based on their academic achievement, community involvement, demonstrated leadership ability and interest in entering the legal field. Selecting only three winners from among the many qualified candidates was particularly difficult this year, “said Elaine Roberts, WBA VP of Scholarships." Read full article by Reagan Heilman.
