Biography: Dr. Barbara Sunderland Manousso, CEO of Manousso Mediation and Arbitration, LLC, since 1993, is an international ADR trainer, author, ombudsman, conflict coach, and leader in the international practice of mediation and arbitration. Dr. Manousso is also a professor at the University of St.Thomas in Global Conflict Management. In addition, she is the Chair of the Education Research Training Section of the Association of Conflict Resolution International, president of the Houston Gerontological Society, and member of the UT Consortium on Aging. She is the past-president of the Association of Conflict Resolution Houston chapter and current board member. She has also served as the Chair of the ACR International Healthcare Section and International Conference Committee and has served as co-chair of the ACR Workplace section and on the ACR Training Standards Committee for Elder Care Mediation. Dr. Manousso is a Texas Credentialed Distinguished Mediator, member of the Texas Mediators Round Table State Bar of Texas ADR Section, American Bar Association, and other professional groups. Her training programs in basic advance elder mediation and arbitration, as well as Parenting Coordination and Facilitation training, drawing students from around the world. She holds a baccalaureate from Brown University, Master of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, and Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She attended South Texas College of Law.
