The Association for Conflict Resolution - Houston (ACR Houston) is a 501.c.3 organization dedicated to promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and conflict management, supporting and developing ADR professionals, and educating our community about the many uses and benefits of ADR.
“Santa” Joe Bontke passed away October 9, 2019. He was Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Houston District office of the EEOC. Joe was in the field of Human Resources & Civil Rights for the past 30 years and had experience in employment law and adult education. Please take a moment to enjoy his holiday message and remember Joe and all of his contributions to the field of alternative dispute resolution.

Judge Frank Evans, commonly recognized as the “Father of ADR,” passed away on November 9, 2019. The Honorable Frank G. Evans was honored with a 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Conflict Resolution Houston Chapter, Texas Mediator Credentialing Association Outstanding Credentialed Mediator for 2016, and Texas Association of Mediators Susanne C. Adams Award in 2008.
