Challenge for the MLK Day of Service

Sometimes it’s the small things that make a difference. Don’t have time to clean up a park, paint your school, or shovel snow? Create your public service announcement (PSA) to announce your “kindness donation.” Use a bitmoji as your avatar in your MLK Service PSA. Download the flyer for directions on creating a bitmoji and PSA. Encourage students to share... [Read More]

Heather McFarlane
Negotiation Tips for Mediators

Heather McFarlane thinks creatively and helps people resolve their conflicts since 2010.  Heather earned her law degree with honors from the University of Texas in 1998, and immediately began her practice as a litigation attorney with a large law firm.  She tried dozens of cases in court and handled appeals for her clients.  Although mediation has been a large part of her practice since 2010, she decided to become a full-time mediator in January 2019.  She is a member of the Association of Attorney Mediators, a Credentialed Advanced Mediator, and has hundreds of hours of training in mediation.  Most recently, she was accepted to and attended Harvard Law School’s “Advanced Mediation Workshop:  Mediating Complex Disputes.”
